Creative Commons / Attributing Images

For one of our cybersmart task this week, we have been learning about how Creative Commons Licenses allow us to share our creative ideas with the world in a safe and secure manor. It also allows us to choose the degree as to how and which parts we would like them to share. For example for some things we just might want them to be able to view or listen to our creation, and for other things we might want them to be able edit and remix our creations. We have also been learning about attributing where we get things from, basically attaching a link to where we got the image, video or text from. We really like how explore does this for and recommend using explore for images to save you time!

Thinking about quality blog comments.

Today we have been learning about how to write a quality blog comment. We collaborated on a task which involved identifying and classifying quality blog comments. We also commented on other peoples blog post making sure they were positive, thoughtful and helpful. What we learned from this was its easy to critique others but it can be tricky writing your own comment. It was quite challenging to write the correct words writing the helpful part of the comment.

If we did this again, some of the things we would do differently are asking for other people for advice when we get stuck.

Thinking about quality blog comments.

Today we have been learning how to write a positive and appropriate/ helpful comment. We are creating a poster to show others how to create a quality comment. These show that its important to give helpful comments so that people know what to next time. It was quite challenging to think about our layout for our poster because normally our teachers have the template for us. If we did this again, some of the things we would do differently are maybe think of a theme as a starting point and look at others posters so that it can give us some ideas.
